OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop – Not Quite It For Me

OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop

Maybe I had high expectations for this and that’s why I was disappointed, but yeah… OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop isn’t quite it for me.

I expected a nice smelling something that would clean my floor and leave a nice scent lingering in the air, but nope. It’s not even foamy. Or maybe… Maybe it was meant to be used according to instructions, in which case, I wouldn’t have bought it to use it in that way.

Ingredients

OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop doesn’t have many ingredients and most of them are perfumes.

Non-ionic surfactants are widely used in many products, including skincare products, but they are also toxic apparently. Maybe it’s about the amount used, or where they’re coming from, or something. They are less toxic than the ionic ones though.

The brand claims that OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop is people, pet, and planet-friendly. States that it is non-toxic and plant-based. So maybe that’s what it’s about. More research is required to know for sure. Still, it’s not something to ingest. Plus, natural stuff can be toxic too. I don’t know for sure.

Full ingredients list:

>30% Non-ionic Surfactants, Phenoxyethanol, Perfumes, Linalool, Citronellol, Coumarin, Limonene

It’s also important to note that on the brand’s website, there appears to be a newer version of OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop available that only has three ingredients with a much lower percentage of non-ionic surfactants. The packaging design is a bit different too, so the one I purchased locally must be an older version.

Scent and Usage

Despite OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop having all those fragrances in it, it didn’t really smell like much. It says Rhubarb Coral on the box. If anything, there was only a faint scent of it and it definitely didn’t make my home smell like rhubarb.

The way it’s meant to be used: drop the small capsule into a 750 ml spray bottle, fill it with water, close the bottle and shake it until the capsule dissolves, spray and clean your home.

The way I used it: I put it in a glass bottle, shook it to dissolve, then put it in a bucket of water and cleaned my home with a mop. Basically, like a regular floor cleaner. Maybe that was my moosetake. It got extra diluted, even though it’s concentrated. Except I don’t care for spraying my floors and then cleaning them. It’s extra work! It also left some residue in the glass bottle I used that can’t seem to wash out. Maybe if I put it upside down in the dishwasher…

Nothing significant happened after cleaning my home with this product, but at least it didn’t smell like a wet rag. Granted, my home isn’t dirty. I usually dust, vacuum, and then mop my floors. Done. It may also be worth mentioning that I have laminate and tile floors at home, and wooden IKEA tiles on my balcony, which I don’t clean often. OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop is good for a variety of floors such as stone, laminate, tiles, wood floors, lino, and vinyl.

Packaging

OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop comes in a small cardboard box. Or should I say, a thick paper box? Just a regular box basically. A pleasant sleek surface, nice colours, not any bigger than any smartphone out there, I guess. Stickers inside, which you can stick on whatever bottle you’d use for the product.

Being all paper the packaging can be easily recycled. No plastic involved.

Price

OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop is pretty cheap, especially if it’s on sale.

These prices are true in April 2025:

Price at Nula Shop: €3,00 (I got in on sale so it was less than that)
Price on the brand’s website: £1,75

More in euros, but still a pretty good deal even when not on sale.

Where It’s Made

The United Kingdom.

Summary

🟢 Minimal ingredients.
🟢 Plant based and non-toxic according to the brand.
🟢 Zero plastic waste.
🟢 Recyclable packaging.
🟢 Not tested on animals.
🟢 Good for stone, laminate, tiles, wood floors, lino, and vinyl floors.
🟢 Subtle rhubarb scent.

🔴 Not fragrance-free, but the scent is minimal. Not quite a great thing for me personally since I wanted something nice to sniff at the time, but at least it wasn’t a wet rag smell.
🔴 Based on research, the ingredients might not be as good as they seem. More research is required to know for sure.
🔴 Inconvenient to use for me personally if I were to use it as per instructions, which is in a spray bottle. Not much effect for me if I use it like a liquid cleaner by pouring it into a water bucket.
🔴 Left some sort of residue that isn’t washing out in the glass bottle I used to dissolve it.

OceanSaver All Floors Cleaner EcoDrop can be a great option for those wanting something that will clean their floors and is plastic-free, but it’s just not the product for me. I have since moved on to something else. It may work for you though, but that’s for you to find out.

Would I Buy It Again?

Nah.
